i've been meaning to mention these ladies for quite some time now... i don't know why it's taken me so long! i first heard about first aid kit, a swedish sister duo, on la blogotheque a couple of years ago... i was blown away by their incredibly strong and powerful voices, perfect harmonies, and woodsy, dreamy, folk goodness. they're powerhouses, i swear i get goosebumps everytime i listen to them. they're like a female version of fleet foxes... they even do a fantastic version of fleet foxes' tiger mountain peasant song. these girls are becoming increasingly popular, especially in the last year, which makes me super happy for them. i hope their fanbase continues to grow, grow, grow! i could say so much more about their music and how rad i think they are... but really, i just want you to listen and love.
so so so happy you are doing todays post on this lovely duo! i too am a long time fan, and extremely happy at their growning fame... as when i first fell in love with these girls it was almost impossible to get their music! nothing makes me want to see my belongings and move to the mountains more than these girls...
